RMJ Horse Rescue Centre is a Maltese voluntary organisation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming horses that have been neglected, abandoned or are at risk of slaughter. Based in Siggiewi, the sanctuary provides a safe home where every horse receives the care, patience and medical attention it deserves before finding a loving forever home whenever possible.
Founded in 2016, RMJ has grown from rescuing just a handful of horses into Malta’s largest horse rescue sanctuary, caring for more than 80 horses. The organisation also works closely with Animal Welfare Malta and is the only NGO on the islands able to rehabilitate official neglect cases. Everything they do is made possible through volunteers, donations and the generosity of the community.
