Supporting children’s mental wellbeing in Malta through group care.
Karl Vella Foundation is a Maltese voluntary organisation dedicated to supporting children and families going through challenging life experiences. The Foundation provides a caring and welcoming environment where children can express their feelings, connect with others and develop the emotional skills they need to face life’s challenges.
At the heart of its work is the Wellness Pod, which offers children a range of psychoeducational programmes and activities. By bringing together children who are going through similar experiences, the Foundation creates a sense of understanding, belonging and mutual support.
Through its programmes and activities, the Foundation helps children build emotional strength and a more positive outlook on life in the following ways:
01
Providing a safe and welcoming space where children can take part in psychoeducational programmes and activities that support their emotional wellbeing.
02
Helping children understand their emotions, develop healthy coping skills and build confidence through creative and educational activities.
03
Bringing together children facing similar life experiences, helping them build friendships, feel understood and discover that they are not alone.
